The most important item in every Zelda game is undoubtedly the Master Sword. In Tears of the Kingdom, the weapon once again has an extremely crucial role. However, Switch players have recently noticed that the sacred Banishing Sword has been suffering from an annoying bug since release.
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Link can hold his own quite well even without the Master Sword. Thanks to the new fusion ability, practically anything can become a new weapon. Nevertheless, the sacred Banishing Sword is irreplaceable in the hero’s arsenal. However, a Switch player on Reddit points out that the sword is not utilizing its full potential at all, mainly due to a bug.
The Master Sword can also be fused with other items to increase its attack power. Other weapons also gain durability through fusion. However, Reddit user Minimum-Shake6195 writes that the Banishing Sword only gains this bonus after the very first fusion. After much experimentation, he discovered that for the rest of the game, the sword remains at its standard durability. This suspicion arose during his second playthrough when he noticed that the sword lasted for a very long time after the first fusion. Currently, he is on his third run, saving Hyrule in Tears of the Kingdom, and can confirm the existence of the bug (Source: Reddit).
Zelda fans on the Switch can look forward to more games.
