Exciting news for Xiaomi smartphone owners! The eagerly anticipated Android 14 is just around the corner, and Xiaomi is expected to equip some of its smartphones with the new MIUI 15. However, not all devices will receive this update.
Xiaomi is currently testing Android 14 on its Xiaomi 13 series and is preparing for the launch of MIUI 15. A preliminary list from Xiaomiui reveals which older Xiaomi smartphones may receive the software update, and which ones will remain on MIUI 14. Set to be unveiled in mid-November, MIUI 15 promises a host of new features and optimizations. The plan is to distribute MIUI 15, along with Android 14, to many of the latest Xiaomi smartphones, starting with the Xiaomi 14 and 13 series.
Recent Redmi devices, such as the Note 12 series and the Redmi K60, will also receive the update, along with the POCO X5 and F5. However, it is important to note that this list is provisional and has not yet been officially confirmed by Xiaomi. Additionally, newly introduced and newer smartphones are not included in the list as they will already be receiving MIUI 15 due to Xiaomi’s software policy.
Among the smartphones expected to receive MIUI 15 are the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10 Ultra, Mi 10S, POCO X3, POCO X3 NFC, Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Lite, as well as various models from the Redmi A1, Redmi 10, and Redmi Note 9 series. On the other hand, there are smartphones that are unlikely to receive MIUI 15 due to their launch time and hardware limitations. These include the Mi 10 Lite 5G, Mi 10T Lite, Mi 10i 5G, various models from the Redmi K30 and Redmi Note 9 series, as well as some models from the Redmi 9 and POCO M2 series.
Official information from Xiaomi regarding the update is still pending. Therefore, as always, it is best to consider all this information as rumors for now. Hopefully, we will have a confirmed list during the final presentation in November.
