Google Pixel now receive new “Cinematic Wallpaper” on Android 14

Android 14 brings some new wallpaper features to Google Pixel, including the animated Cinematic Wallpaper.

It seems that Google has completed another feature for Android 14 and can now make it available to some users. A few months ago, at Google I/O 2023, Google introduced various innovations, including emoji wallpapers and cinematic wallpapers. The latter is now being gradually rolled out. Of course, you will need a current Pixel phone and Android 14 for this. Currently, the new Android is still in the beta testing phase but is expected to be released in August or September. Google is now rolling out a necessary update for “Android System Intelligence” to enable the use of Cinematic Wallpapers.

## Moviesque effects for photos have been around for some time

This new type of wallpaper ensures that the foreground object remains in motion. It is similar to the photos with movie effects (found in Google Photos > Gallery > Manage), except that the image moves for the background wallpapers when you move your smartphone. According to Google_nws, it still requires some luck for the new wallpapers to be available to you. But it looks promising that the feature will be ready and offered to all Pixel users by the launch of Android 14. Follow us on Google News and join the discussion in the Smartdroid Chat on Telegram.
